At the 2024 SciEd National Conference, I created and helped deliver a slide presentation titled "Applied contextual considerations for recruitment, engagement, and evaluation of underrepresented populations in STEM and biomedical research training programs." Our session was selected for presentation in the Grand Ballroom, the main presentation room at the conference, and was live-streamed nationwide. As the first author on this presentation, I led a collaboration between the Marriott Lab and other professionals who train youth in NIH-funded biomedical programs across the nation.

During my WR-502 Independent Study: Communication Strategies course at Portland State University, I created a communication plan to align community, cultural, and research partners for a nationwide project. The main output was an engaging digital slide presentation for a meeting with collaborative partners, designed to educate them on project details and maximize engagement.
Key activities included understanding the project grant, identifying partners for initial meetings, drafting agendas, and collaborating on future meetings. This project enhanced my Professional and Technical Writing skills in audience analysis, visual communication, strategic planning, documenting project details, tailoring communication, designing informative materials, and fostering collaboration.
